Car insurance guidance
Car insurance, explained for your situation.
Tell us what you're trying to figure out: your coverage, a deductible, a renewal, a ticket, a teen driver. We'll walk you through it in plain English by email or phone. No sales pitch, no fee, nothing to buy.
- No fee, no purchase, no obligation
- Independent of insurers and agents
- We never sell your information
- Texts only if you check an optional text box; reply STOP anytime
What you get
- A plain-English walkthrough of what each line on your declarations page means, and the questions to ask about gaps.
- How to think about coverage levels relative to what you own and owe, to confirm with your insurer.
- Clear next steps for the thing you're dealing with right now.
- Nothing to buy from us. We explain, you decide.
Guidance is general education, not legal or financial advice. Confirm details for your own policy with your insurer.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a fee for guidance?
No. There is no fee, no subscription, and nothing to buy. Lanewise Auto is funded by its operator, MetricLink Labs LLC. We don't sell insurance and we are independent of insurers and agents. If you opt in to texts, your carrier's message and data rates may apply.
Do you sell insurance?
No. Lanewise Auto is an educational guidance service. We don't sell, underwrite, or bind insurance, and the decisions, and any purchase, stay with you and your insurer. We explain how coverage works; the decisions, and any purchase, stay with you and your insurer.
What information do you need?
Your state, what you want help with, and a name and email address so we can reply. A phone number is only needed if you want a call back or text alerts. We never ask for a Social Security number, a driver's license number, or payment details.
Will you text me?
Only if you check one or both of the two separate, optional text message boxes on the guidance form: one for updates about your request, one for car insurance tips. Both are unchecked by default, and neither is required to get guidance. If you opt in, you can stop at any time by replying STOP.
What messages does Lanewise Auto Alerts send?
Two types, each only if you checked its box: service and account notification messages (confirmations and updates about your guidance request and replies to your questions) and marketing messages (car insurance tips, coverage review reminders, and updates about Lanewise Auto guidance services). Lanewise Auto is the only sender, and we send only the type(s) you chose. Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per week across both message types. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.
How is my personal information handled?
We use it to provide the guidance you asked for and to contact you about it. We don't sell personal information, and mobile information and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
