2. Program description

Lanewise Auto Alerts is the text message program of Lanewise Auto (operated by MetricLink Labs LLC). It has two message types, and you receive each only if you checked its separate consent box:

  1. Service and account notification messages: confirmations and updates about your guidance request and replies to your questions.
  2. Marketing messages: car insurance tips, coverage review reminders, and updates about Lanewise Auto guidance services.

You can opt into one without the other. We send only the type(s) you chose. Lanewise Auto is the sole sender of messages under this program. Messages never contain offers or links from insurers, agents, or any other third party, and your consent covers Lanewise Auto Alerts only, not any other brand or program operated by MetricLink Labs LLC. Messages are sent from our dedicated short code. Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per week across both message types.

3. How to opt in

You opt in on our website. The guidance form at https://lanewiseauto.com/get-started/ has two separate optional text message boxes. Both are unchecked by default, and neither is required:

  • Text me updates about my request (service and account notification messages)
  • Send me car insurance tips by text (marketing messages)

Check one or both, then submit your mobile number. You can opt into one without the other. Each box is separate from your agreement to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. The keyword LANE is reserved for carrier testing and is not advertised; a phone that texts LANE to our dedicated short code is enrolled in both message types, receives the combined confirmation below, and can reply STOP at any time. After you opt in, you will receive one confirmation message that matches the box or boxes you checked, identifies the program, and repeats the STOP and HELP instructions.

Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per week across both message types.

6. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time. STOP ends all Lanewise Auto Alerts messages of both types, service and account notification messages as well as marketing messages. We also honor END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, OPT OUT, STOPALL, and plain-language requests such as "please stop texting me". You will receive one final confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You can also opt out by emailing contact@lanewiseauto.com or calling (888) 905-2130.

Opt-out requests made by email or phone are honored within 10 business days, usually the same day. We keep a record of your opt-out so you are not texted again unless you opt in again.

9. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. Supported carriers

AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, UScellular, and other major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

11. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and a US resident to participate, and you must be the account holder or have the account holder's permission for the mobile number you provide.
