Service description

Lanewise Auto is a car insurance guidance service operated by MetricLink Labs LLC. We provide general car insurance education and guidance, with no fee. We don't sell, underwrite, or bind insurance, and the decisions, and any purchase, stay with you and your insurer. For decisions about your own policy, check with your insurer.

Information on this site and in our guidance is general and is not legal, financial, or insurance advice. A guidance request does not purchase, activate, or change any insurance coverage.

Acceptance

By using lanewiseauto.com (the "Site") or requesting guidance, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States to use this service. You must provide accurate information about yourself, and any email address or phone number you give us must be one you are authorized to use.

Acceptable use

Use our service only for lawful, personal purposes. Do not submit false or misleading information, impersonate another person, submit someone else's contact details without permission, interfere with the Site's operation, scrape or republish our content, or attempt unauthorized access. We may decline abusive or fraudulent requests.

SMS messaging program

Lanewise Auto Alerts sends two types of recurring automated text messages, each with its own separate, optional, unchecked box on the guidance form at https://lanewiseauto.com/get-started/. Text me updates about my request covers service and account notification messages: confirmations and updates about your guidance request and replies to your questions. Send me car insurance tips by text covers marketing messages: car insurance tips, coverage review reminders, and updates about our guidance services. Lanewise Auto, operated by MetricLink Labs LLC, is the sole sender of messages under this program, and your consent applies only to Lanewise Auto and Lanewise Auto Alerts.

You opt in by checking one or both boxes and submitting your mobile number. You can opt into one without the other, and we send only the type(s) you chose. Neither box is checked by default, and neither is ever required. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can get guidance without agreeing to text messages.

Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per week across both message types. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time; STOP ends both message types, and you will receive one final confirmation and no further program messages unless you opt in again. Reply HELP or email contact@lanewiseauto.com for help, or call (888) 905-2130. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your SMS consent and mobile information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including guides, tools, text, and design, is owned by MetricLink Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may link to our pages and share short excerpts with attribution; you may not republish our content without written permission.

Disclaimers

The Site and our guidance are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee savings, a particular premium, coverage availability, or any outcome for your policy. Information is general guidance, not legal, financial, or insurance advice. Confirm details with your insurer or a licensed professional before making decisions about your own policy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MetricLink Labs LLC and Lanewise Auto will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Site or the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will post the current version on this page with its last-updated date. Any material change to SMS consent will require a new opt-in where required by law.
